Getting Started

5 Simple Steps to Start Winning

Most users enter their first contest within 10 minutes of downloading. Each step below includes a pro tip that experienced players use daily.

1

Download & Register

Visit our official website and click the Download button to get the ComeWin VIP APK. The file is lightweight (< 30MB) and installs in under a minute. Open the app, enter your mobile number, and verify with the OTP. No email or lengthy forms required.

Pro Tip: Use the same mobile number linked to your UPI ID for faster withdrawals later.

2

Select a Match

Browse the upcoming matches list on the home screen. You'll see international fixtures, IPL matches, T20 leagues, and more. Each match card shows the teams, start time, and available contests. Tap on a match to enter the team creation screen.

Pro Tip: Start with matches you know well. Familiarity with player form and pitch conditions gives you an edge.

3

Create Your Dream Team

You have 100 credits to pick 11 players. The composition rules are:

  • 1-4 Wicket-Keepers
  • 3-6 Batsmen
  • 1-4 All-Rounders
  • 3-6 Bowlers
  • Maximum 7 players from one team

Pro Tip: All-rounders are gold — they contribute with both bat and ball, maximizing your point potential.

4

Choose Captain & Vice-Captain

This is where contests are won or lost. Your Captain scores 2x points and your Vice-Captain scores 1.5x points. Choose players who are:

  • In top form (scoring consistently in recent matches)
  • All-rounders who bat in the top 4 and bowl 2-3 overs
  • Playing on their home ground (familiar conditions)

Pro Tip: Avoid making bowlers your Captain unless it's a notorious bowling-friendly pitch. Batsmen and all-rounders have higher upside.

5

Join a Contest & Win

Browse available contests sorted by entry fee and prize pool. As a beginner, we recommend:

  • Practice Contests: Free entry, perfect for learning
  • Head-to-Head (H2H): ₹1-₹50 entry, 50% win rate
  • Small Leagues: 3-10 players, better odds than mega contests

Pro Tip: Never put your entire bankroll in one contest. Diversify across 3-5 contests for steady returns.

H2H gives you a 50% win rate but smaller prizes. Grand Leagues can pay lakhs but your win rate drops below 10%. Pick based on your bankroll and experience.

H2H

5 Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

These 5 errors cost new players money every single matchday. Read them once and you'll avoid 80% of beginner losses.

1

Ignoring the Toss and Playing XI

The most expensive mistake beginners make is submitting a team hours before the match and never checking back. The final playing XI is announced ~30 minutes before the first ball. If one of your players is benched, they score zero points — instantly tanking your lineup. Always set a reminder to check the confirmed XI.

2

Picking All-Star Teams Without Budget Balance

With only 100 credits, you cannot afford 11 superstars. Beginners often blow 80+ credits on 4-5 premium players, leaving the rest of the squad filled with weak benchwarmers. The winning strategy is finding 2-3 "budget enablers" (undervalued players at ~7.5 credits) to free up funds for a balanced squad.

3

Making Bowlers Captain

Your Captain scores 2x points. Bowlers are high-variance — they might take 3 wickets or go wicketless. Batsmen and all-rounders have much higher floors and ceilings. Unless it's a notorious bowling-friendly pitch, never make a pure bowler your Captain.

4

Entering Only Grand Leagues

Grand Leagues with 10,000+ entries are tempting because of the massive VIP win rooms, but your win rate is under 10%. Beginners should start with Head-to-Head (50% win rate) and Small Leagues (30-50% win rate) to build confidence and bankroll before risking Grand League entries.

5

Chasing Losses with Bigger Bets

After a losing streak, beginners often increase their entry fees to "recover" losses. This is the fastest way to drain your bankroll. Stick to the 70/30 rule: 70% of your budget in safe H2H/small leagues, 30% in high-risk Grand Leagues. Never deviate from your plan.

Quick Answers

Common Beginner Questions

Can I change my team after submitting? What if it rains? How many teams can I make? Click any question to expand the answer.

Can I change my team after submitting?
Yes, you can edit your team unlimited times until the match deadline (usually when the first ball is bowled). After the deadline, your team is locked. We recommend making final adjustments after the toss, when the playing XI is confirmed.
What happens if the match is abandoned or rained out?
If the match is abandoned without a ball being bowled, all contests are cancelled and entry fees are refunded in full. If the match starts but is later abandoned (e.g., due to rain), contests are settled based on the official match result as declared by the ICC or match referee.
How many teams can I create for one match?
You can create up to 20 teams per match. This is especially useful for Grand Leagues, where having multiple teams with different strategies increases your chances of hitting the top prize. For H2H contests, one well-researched team is usually enough.
What is the best contest type for beginners?
Start with Practice Contests (free) to learn the interface. Then move to Head-to-Head (H2H) contests with ₹1-₹10 entry fees. H2H has a 50% win rate, meaning you only need to beat one opponent. Once you're consistently winning 60%+ of your H2H contests, try Small Leagues (3-10 players).
How do I know which players are in form?
The ComeWin VIP app provides detailed player stats including last 5 match scores, average fantasy points, strike rate, and economy rate. Additionally, check recent cricket news for injuries, rest rotations, and pitch reports. Following cricket analysts on social media also helps stay updated on player form.
